  1. Please don't misunderstand Dark Linkaël, he simply repeated what Jimmy130 told him because he's gullible. Zeth, you are absolutely right. You should ignore these people. Thank you very much for your answers!
  2. Like I said, I fully support and trust Zeth, so don't worry. Yes, like I said in my first post, I really don't want to do that and I'm sorry for trouble I'm causing. Thank you very much for your answer, Sakura.
  3. I put this topic here because it really isn't important... First, I want to say that I really DON'T want to "put oil in the fire" and I ask for everyone's pardon for trouble I may cause. So, Dark Linkaël, you may know him, he's the person who discovered Wind Waker's Debug Menu with my humble assistance, told me about a person named Jimmy130 who is interested in 64DD research and knows Cendamos. Later in the conversation, I proposed to give Jimmy130 additional informations, but Dark Linkaël stated that I should not believe everything I hear about the 64DD, that Jimmy130's and Cendamos' informations were believable but that I should not believe in Zeth64 who "does it wrong" and "uses dirty methods". He added that neither Jimmy130 nor Cendamos trusted Zeth64. Zeth64, is that you, ZethN64? Don't bother, I would never dare to trust anything that goes against you. Do you know this Jimmy130? He's a supposedly french hacker and runs a website. I heard of Cendamos, but did you get any trouble with him in the past? I'm just wondering. You recently posted another topic about malevolent people who tried to spread rumors about you. It bothers me that such jealous people are trying to annoy you and to kill your reputation. Once again, I'm sorry for all trouble this may cause.
  4. Hello there, Today morning I got a MSN invitation. I accepted but I was already distrustful. The "person" was offline. Later on, the "person", still in offline state, spoke to me and after some talk, me being really prudent, proposed to show me things that are not going to be named here on the cam. I declined, of course. The "person" sent me links to malevolent sites, wanting to show me said things and push me to use my credit card, perhaps thinking that I was completely stupid or hoping/thinking that I was inexperienced. Well, of course, I deleted this "person". I could not tell if it was a bot or a real person, its answers to some questions were pretty realistic, while it completely ignored other questions, in particular "How did you get my address?". I can't say that I'm surprised, in fact, I expected this sort of situation and due to my experience I was secure and felt no danger. But how did it get my MSN address? I keep it scrupulously safe and private, never writing it down. Was it from another contact? Had anyone a similar situation, especially on MSN? I know this sort of things, but never encountered it on MSN.
  5. If it is possible to set the skybox, etc. independently from each other, it would be really nice to have an advanced option in SharpOcarina where you could enable and set the values for the skybox, time flow.... Without using advanced options, one could still choose between indoors and outdoors. You really make a great job with your tool! I won't complain, take all the time you need. I'm really thankful for what is for me the most useful tool. If you make a collaboration, their programming or designing skills surely will greatly improve SharpOcarina.
  6. Are you sure you pressed enter? You may try actor number 01C5 then...variable and object number stay the same.
  7. This is some great work! You may want to use this Malon: Actor number: 00D9 Variable: FFFF Object number: 00D0
  8. Hello Shade64, The link given by DeathBasket is very helpful, have a look at it. Basically, you search for this at the top of the zmap: 0Baa0000 XXXXXXXX 01bb0000 YYYYYYYY 14 Where a is the number of objects, b the number of actors in the zmap, and that what you need: X is the offset of the object list and Y the offset of the actor list in the zmap. You may already know this: For the actor list, the format is, for every actor: AAAAxxxx yyyyzzzz rrrrssss ttttVVVV A is the actor number and V the variable. x, y, z are the position and r, s, t the rotation. For the object list, the format simply is the object number (AAAA).

    Zovldis and nOVL?

Where can I get the two programs zovldis and nOVL? The website they were on seems to be down... Thank you very much!
  10. I would love to make a tutorial but I'm very busy, especially this week. Either you use Utility of Time (other programms won't find the relocated actors!) to give the actors numbers and variables and to move them, or you have to do this directly in hexadecimal. You may read this tutorial: http://glitchkill.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tuts2&action=display&thread=3618 If there are any questions or further problems, then ask, we will help you! I can write an easy-explained tutorial but I'm too busy with work this week/these weeks, so you will have to wait, sorry... You may also try this tutorial about text codes: http://glitchkill.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tuts2&action=display&thread=3545
  11. I'm not using the demo's .xml file but SharpOcarina expects everything to be in the same directory. By the way, I'm using version 06. I'm looking forward to a new demo dungeon from you! It sure will be great for new map designers!
  12. I am sorry for the double post... I just moved one of my older, ungrouped rooms (or room complexes) with one of its corners to 0,0,0 (it's not its extreme/outer corner but the room isn't a cube so...), then I made all of the groups and didn't move the room at all. There are still texture errors. I think I have misunderstand something...
  13. By the way, it would be very helpful if SharpOcarina didn't expect the models, the .xml scene and the rom to be in the same file/directory.
  14. First, what tool are you using to add the actors? They may not appear because their object (group) is not present in the game or because they are event dependant. What actors are you exactly trying to use? The crashes can be due to an important object (group) in the room being removed. Have you removed any groups? You should apply john_smith_account's fix (it's in the Q & A), it's a really nice fix. Yes, you would need a hex editor to add any actors or objects. It can be challenging if you try it the first time but it's worth it. I should make a tutorial about how to do it. To edit text, you can simply find and edit text in a hex editor. The Text Editor is said to be not very stable... Python? I don't know...Blender surely is better than Sketchup, I should learn to use it too... So, if you have any further questions... Have patience! Even if you get frustrated about something, remember that we will help you. An example: I was very frustrated about crashes too, then john_smith_account came up with a fix!
  15. Thank you! So, you basically make one square at 0,0,0, make it a group and then you can move it as you like and proceed normally? You once said it were even possible to fix a model instead of making a new one...how would you do that? To my problem with the polygon types not working: I found the problem, it's because my collision model doesn't have any groups. See, the group names of the collision model have to match up with the group names of the rooms. But I can't name groups in Sketchup, I think. Sketchup outputs more groups than I make, too. So it's impossible for them to match up.
  16. Polygon types don't seem to be working anymore in SharpOcarina... So I will have to wait until I can continue my project.
  17. Well, you may change some actors, it's one of the most basic things you could begin with...
  18. Je te souhaite la bienvenue! Amuse-toi bien parmi nous et bon travail! Welcome! Have fun with us and good work!
  19. I recently asked john smith account about his method to solve this problem in his Map Modelling thread, but he didn't answer. I hope it will be possible to solve it someday. Good luck for your rewrite, xdaniel. You are very patient to do all this!
  20. Excuse me, do you think you could post here a more detailed version of the method to prevent the texture problems discussed in SharpOcarina's thread? Thank you very much!
  21. Don't worry, I'll send you a PM about how to do this, but we shouldn't have done that...er, I mean, we shouldn't go off-topic here.
  22. Thank you! I thought it couldn't have been my anti-virus because it SHOULD ask me before deleting files. And guess, it was my anti-virus. Luckily, it didn't try to delete the file nor complained when I opened it after having extracted it with disabled anti-virus and then having re-enabled it. Well, the new version of this anti-virus software seems to do to its liking... It's time to examine version 06 of SharpOcarina!
  23. Help, when I download version 06 and extract the files, MapDev.exe quickly disappears. Thank you!

    ZTE

Would Sketchup be able to import VRML files? On a side note, I tried to import OZMAV2 .obj files with Blender, but they don't work...they also don't work for SharpOcarina. And completely off-topic: Which tool do you use to pull/push the triangles to make the natural landscape on sketchup in your video?
