a modded japanese N64 that also takes US games StarFox 64 (japanese) Gradius (for the famicom) ...and a gamebit now sadly, my Super Famicom seems to randomly die on me so I'm getting a US SNES and mod it so it can accept japanese games too, since it's the exact same hardware I also got a boxed copy of Dragon Warrior/Quest and I really hope this one will work

a little update on this... N had plans on selling 9million WiiU units between april 1 2013 and march 31 2014. Now they've lowered those expected numbers to 2.8 million units. Same goes for the 3DS. expected 19million then, now it's 13.5million units. Gamewise? WiiU: from 38 to 19 million 3DS: from 80 to 66 million...this is with the new Pokèmon included. and to top that of, they've admitted that they haven't looked at their competitors as far as online services go. anonymous developers have confirmed this.

oh, it would most surely have been a Nintendo exclusive if Nintendo weren't so stubborn in continuing with the cartridge format.

I wonder how long they will continue to milk that game

well, since I'm exploring the PS3 library, I've acquired a NEW console and 5 games for less than $300

might aswell buy a regular DS

and how do you think parents will react when they're looking for games for their kids 2DS and all they can find is 3DS boxes? I just don't get it, if Nintendo are having problems with the Wii U, why not focus on that instead of releasing a new handheld system to compete with their existing product?

What the fucking hell?! I've said it before: 60 FPS, full HD, online multiplayer. You have NOT done this before, right? Also, just because you personally don't like how GX turned out - and that's exactly what he means with the "other companies" and stuff - doesn't mean it sucked! In fact, GX is probably the best F-Zero game there is! And what direction to go in with a new F-Zero? You don't need to change the direction you've had before! Plus, really, where the hell did you change direction, did you bring new ideas in the countless Mario games? Every New Super Mario Bros. game is EXACTLY THE SAME GAMEPLAY-WISE! What's with that damn double standard here?! Mario gets away with repeatedly being the same bloody game, just with new levels and one or two minor ideas, while you proclaim that F-Zero needs new ideas?! Just fucking say that Mario sells better, and that you don't care about franchises that struggled before. No, make that that you don't care about your history, your legacy. I very much respect Miyamoto as a person as well as his work, but sometimes he comes across as either really, really out of touch, or completely ignorant, or lazy, or I don't know. God, I'm honestly quite mad right now, at him personally and at Nintendo in general... you know, miyamoto hasn't done jack shit since Ocarina of Time other than mostly being Nintendos frontfigure, and he should be, given his past. But that doesn't in any way mean he still has it when it comes to game making, in fact, he never made a single game on his own. Remember this, Shigeru Miyamoto was more or less raised by Hiroshi Yamauchi. that should say a lot...

now, near the end of the current console war, I'm gonna dig through the goodies for the PS3 since both consoles and MOST games can be found dirt cheap so far I've picked up a PS3 console(the super slim one) and 4 games: Demon's Souls Dragon Age: Origins Resident Evil 5 and Tales of Graces f all for the hefty sum of ... $215 next up are Resident Evil 6, Tekken 6, Final Fantasy 13 and Tales of Xillia

you could say that, BUT, where are the games? you have to consider that both Sony and MS is coming out with their respective consoles before any decent Nintendo game that possbily could be a systemseller. Have them both do the exact opposite to what nintendo has done so far and Nintendo will fall behind...GREATLY!

Well, the topic is kinds self-explanatory. Let's look at some numbers shall we? During the time period april 1 to june 30, Nintendo has shipped(shipped, not SOLD) 160k WiiU units worldwide. 90k to Japan, 60k to the US and 10k to the remaining world. However... they've set 9M WiiU units until march 31 2014. Considering the low sales figures so far, will they reach those 9Ms? also, the projected WiiU sales up until march 31 2013 were to 5.5M and later lowered to 4M. the harsh truth is that Nintendo so far has sold 3.61M WiiU units. So, in your own honest opinion, how could they turn this around? There's really no BIG titles planned until 2014 and by then, the PS4 and X1 will co-occupy the market as well. Was it really a smart move to use the gamepad as it's main controller when everybody and their grandmother have some sort of smartphone/tablet? Are Satoru Iwata really the right man for the job? and what about Shigeru Miyamoto? has he really done anything noteworthy since OoT? my gut feeling says that Shiggy has long-gone run out of ideas and now only feeds of the ideas he had 20 something years ago.

I hate to break it to ya, but no matter how hard you want videogames to be art and Nintendo to be a corporation of artists(which to a certain degree they are), videogames ARE a consumers product and Nintendo (whether you like it or not), like every other company in this bussiness, is in it for the money so it's in their best interest to do as they please with their products.

so, what's the status on this one?
