  1. That link was totally supposed to be just The Deku Tree lol
  2. So yeah. Totally stoked to be working on this project with Heavy here. The Legend Of Zelda has been a huge part of my life since I was five years old and I spent hours upon hours with my cousin playing A Link To The Past. This forum is a huge part of the reason I became a music producer in the first place actually. People may be sick of hearing about it at this point - but a few years ago when I was researching URA and Zelda 64 I came across The Ura Project, and when I heard Nitroflashers original songs for the Wind and Ice Temples - I just fell in love with music production. Two years later, I'm listed on the Reverbnation Top 100 Charts for Dubstep, and Number One in Oklahoma Dubstep according to Reverbnation. Never saw that coming. I've dreamed of taking part in a project like this for years now, but I've never had the skill set to actually create mods or hacks myself. Being a part of this project is amazing, I'm finally living my dream - composing music for a game - being part of a Zelda game - and creating music that other people can listen to and enjoy. We have big ideas for this project, and the more people that we can get psyched for it the better. My soundcloud account is posted above, but it's mostly my electronic stuff, a song I have finished for the project can be found here: soundcloud.com/helyxx/the-legend-of-zelda-rebirth I hope we spark the interest of at least a few of you
  3. That is one of the coolest story ideas I've ever seen if you need a composer, hit me up
  4. So, several months back I mentioned that I wanted to do a Zelda remix EP, and asked for suggestions. First off, I want to thank everyone for the suggestions, I've been extremely busy lately (graduating, moving twice, college enrollment, family issues and all that fun stuff.) I have managed to get two finished so far, Sacred Grove and Faren Woods. Both DNB, if anyone is interested in hearing them, check them out in this soundcloud set: http://soundcloud.com/helyxx/sets/zelda-remix-ep/ (by the way, the Faren Woods remix is available already for free through Kamakazmic Records!) I've also finished a dnb/dubstep remix of the prologue music "The Legendary Hero" from Wind Waker but... It's best no one hears that one xD I also started a dubstep remix of Oath To Order with my buddy Luxam, but it's on hold for now (check out his remi of The Legendary Hero though, it's sick, Nonelikejoshua considered bringing back Zeldastep to rap on it actually, which was really cool http://soundcloud.com/luxam/the-wind-waker-the-legendary Ummm..... Cancelled Gerudo's Desert (Twilight Princess), The Legendary Hero (Wind Waker) And uhm.... this lol, my alternate producer name http://soundcloud.com/paradigix/oracle Anyway, sorry for how long this post is, I'd still like suggestions and requests, so if you have one, shout it out to me
  5. I'm exhausted and sick, so I'm not gonna read through all the responses, so sorry if I say something that's already been said First off, it's not exactly older, but Journey gets the job done very well. The Adams Family on NES had little screes with objectives when something would happen, but not really any cutscenes or anything. Kirby's Adventure, Ico, Donkey Kong Country(?), Sorry... I'm tired x(
  6. Once I decided to make my DJ name 'Koreskape' I just stuck with it for everything Although coming up with Koreskape wasn't easy, I guess it's the same kind of thing lol
  7. Pretty much sums it up doesn't it? I'd like to get on my second attempt at producing a Zelda remix EP, these remixes being varying genres (chillout, drum and bass, dubstep, electro house, etc. etc.) I would like to avoid tracks that have been done (or over done in some cases) So please, no Song of Storms, Kaebora Gaebora, Lost Woods, Gerudo Valley, or Dragon Roost Island... or anything else Ephixa has already done lol For anyone wondering, the reason this would be my second attempt is (simply put) I sucked at producing the first time I attempted it. Two years ago I tried it, and failed miserably, (so miserably that I try to forget it's existence) although one track is on my free album "Koreskape: The Early Years" a sort of 'Essential Collection' type album with tracks from my past aliases 'Dj Lost Soul', 'Gridlynes', and 'Helyxx' Anyway, I'm rambling and I apologize (I also apologize if I'm misusing the forums, in which case please let me know and where the proper placement for this type of topic would be). Suggestions??
  8. I'm not trashing the game, I like it, but I prefer pretty much every other 3D Zelda title to it -While Zant WAS a badass, I would have preferred it if he never went all loony and stayed the way he was portrayed in other acts of the game. Fun fact, he is based on the original villain of choice in cancelled 'The Legend Of Zelda: Oracle Of Secrets' On another note, I didn't care for the Final Fantasy feel where Zant SEEMED like the bad guy but you find out he was just being used by Ganondorf.. Then again the same thing happens in the Oracle games AND Four Swords... And A Link To The Past... nevermind lol -Agreed on the story, I felt it was one of the strongest, albeit somewhat slow in certain sections, plus the whole 'Tears Of Light' concept got old FAST for me- and once again, the Final Fantasy ending ruined it in a sense for me. -Huge Overworld... Yes, sadly so, the only thing I was ever compelled to do in the HUGE Overworld was play 'Around The World In Less Than A Day' with Epona. Sure finding caves was cool, until I realized I always came out empty handed due to putting rupees back in chests. -Graphics, no arguments, I LOVE the look and darker style. -Combat... This was the ONLY Zelda game where I felt like a total badass when using a sword. Mixing hidden techniques was always fun. Ever hit a Jump Strike directly followed by a super spin attack? Awh yeah! -Caves, yeah they were kind of fun, albeit slightly irritating (to my personal tastes at least) -Soundtrack- I will agree with you wholeheartedly here. Twilight Princess is my second favorite soundtrack (only beaten by ALTTP) some may dislike it and I can see why, but the sheer contrast in style of tunes is remarkable. -Sacred Grove actually felt sacred! Yeah, I guess. The scenery is absolutely magnificent, however it was a bit of a short segment, yeah you come to it twice and it's slightly different the second time, but that trick only works ever so often. 'Wow the bridges are absent! How will I EVER overcome this ridiculous obstacle By turning into a wolf like I've done at EVERY. OTHER. GORGE." Plus, have you ever heard the beta theme? It's so much better IMO, being a remixed version of ALTTP's Lost Woods (although that may be bias on my end, due to my major preference of ALTTP over OOT) Anyway, I enjoyed it my first run through... and second... and fifteenth The boss fights are my favorite part of this one, every one is unique and beautifully artistic.
