  1. Alright. Thanks DeathBasket. I'll try that out.
  2. One problem. It is bigger than the one in the debug rom. Hmmm. :/
  3. Ouch. That's a bummer. :/ But wait, I read something on another site that says this: "What you need - Nintendo 64 console - Game cartridge to back up - PC with a Windows operating system (working on an alternative with winetricks - will update) - An open DB-25 LPT printer port (or USB to LPT adapter if your PC doesn't have one) - GameShark Pro device, v3.2 or higher (correct version important!) - LPT printer cable (male to female) - Game Software Code Creator software - WinROM 64 software The Backup Process - Unpack Game Software Code Creator somewhere on your computer - Insert the GameShark Pro into the N64 Console - Plug the game cartridge you want to back up, into the top of the GameShark Pro - Connect the LPT cable between your PC and the back of the GameShark Pro - Launch Game Software Code Creator (gscc.exe in the unpacked folder) - Navigate to "File" --> "Configuration", and choose Nintendo 64 for the system - Power up the N64 Console - Press "AutoDetect Settings" (if autodetect fails, enter your LPT settings manually) - Press "Save" - Navigate to "Ram Edit" --> "Open Window" - Click "Dump Cartridge Rom" - Press "Yes" after reading and agreeing to use the ROM for backup purposes ONLY - Wait for the backup to complete (anywhere from 15 minutes to a couple hours, depending on the game) - Process will often stall unexpectedly for no apparent reason. If so, start over (may take several attempts) - Launch WinROM64 - Convert the generated .rom backup to a usable .v64 ROM file."
  4. Sweet! Sounds great. Anyways, I think I found the offsets. Audiotable starts at 0x00079470 and ends at 0x004D9F40. Is that right?
  5. It's no problem. I was just confused. I just want to throw this out there because depending on how you read what I posted, it may seem like I was getting annoyed at someone. This is not true. I am a very calm person and I don't get mad easily. Just wanted to clear that up if you misread my intent. Thank you for the help on that. I really appreciate it. I'll make a patch for anyone who wants it when it is done. Now, do I need the audiotable as well?
  6. That's true, but where does it end? Do I just look for a certain command, copy/paste, and hope for progress?
  7. I was wondering if there are any programs that support browsing through the 1.0 filesystem. I have a freshly decompressed 1.0 rom I decompressed in zdec, and I would love to be able to port the audiobank and such so I can get the chanting version of the fire temple music back into the debug rom. I know how to port this stuff, but I have no idea where to look. I am asking because I know the offsets are different for the 1.0 rom. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. No. I have neither of those. I have found USB variants of those though. They have the proper connections on one end and a USB male plug on the other. They are about $5.
  9. That sounds good. How much would the shipping be? Would it come with the cable needed or would I still need to get that? I need to plan ahead. If all else fails, I would have no issue with this.
  10. That's what I said to him when he asked me about it. Glad to know I was right.
  11. I'll take a look into getting those sometime, xdaniel. Any recommendations for a place to procure such supplies? I know I could check amazon, ebay, etc, but I want to know from people who have actually gotten this stuff before I go throwing money at the screen.
  12. Yeah, a quick search yielded no results other than "Sold Item".
  13. Well, if I can get the tools gathered up, I will dump it ASAP. If it will help you all in any way, I would be more than happy to supply the rom data. This game cartridge was my childhood. I never would have guessed it would end up serving me like this one day. xD
  14. Ah, I have none of that stuff. I'll have to see if there is any way I can acquire these.
  15. (By the way, I am that Sepulcher guy. I changed my nick.) Yeah, I already knew it wasn't some special beta copy. I was just curious if you guys wanted the data on it as there was some interest back then. I have no means of dumping it. Any idea where I could get the tools?
  16. I know this topic is old, but I figured I'd show this. This is my cart. It has "Not for Resale" on it in a rectangular box on the front. If I can somehow dump it, I'd gladly supply it if it would spark any interest and/or help in any way as far as the history of OoT. Is this what you guys were looking for a while back?
  17. I'll let you know if I need more help with it. I'm going to experiment with it to see if I can learn anything. I'd love to find that. I think I'm going to try to port the display list for the adult bow string first and see if that fixes it.
  18. Sorry for the double post, but I tested the arrow rupee decrement patch and it just made the counter disappear causing my weapons to be useless. Any suggestions?
  19. Thank you so much, Jason. I'll give these a shot right away.
  20. I already did this, which is why you see the arrow in the screenshot, but it still doesn't use the bow ammo. My slingshot ammo depletes instead. I need it to use the right ammo.
  21. Okay, so I am working on fixing up some more stuff as I will be tackling two mods at the same time: one solo and one collaborative. I need to move Young Link's arm, bow, and arrow to the left and I need to align the bow string correctly. Anyone know how to do this? Also, how would I go about making the bow actually use the bow ammo instead of the slingshot ammo? Also, when working with Adult Link, if I remove the Master Sword, the game adds it back in on its own the next time I load the save. Any way to fix this? And for my last question, how to I stop the Deku Shield from burning?
  22. I laughed so hard at this. xD Thank you so much. I was having a rough day.
  23. I replied to your PM regarding the matter. I will report anything I find. No problem. Life comes before stuff like this. Thank you for the time and info you have given us so far though.
  24. Hmm, I'll start trying to tear apart the audio sequence table. Mind taking me under your wing and showing me what you know, DeathBasket? I'd love to learn as much as I can.
  25. If someone could figure out how to allow a song to play at night (like the Twilight Princess night field theme) and for the enemy themes to be different, I would happily finish up some themes I was working on for that purpose ad release them for the community. It sounds like it would take some messing with the scene table. Not to mention figuring out how to add new sequences and sets without overwriting existing ones for those who want to keep the rest intact. This could be a very interesting project and I'd be glad to contribute in any way I can.
