A link to Majora's Mask

It's hard to find anything positive to say, really. This is just a really poorly executed Ocarina of Time ROM edit. And how does it have anything to do with Majora's Mask?

But, if you read...

Dug out my old computer and found this old project of mine.

He tells you right there it is an old project...

So here is my interpretation.

I'd like to air on the side of caution, and reserve judgement for after the Modder presents his entire concept.

That, and I still live in fear of the Staff.

Anyways, it looks like an old school actor placement, and edit of existing maps.  This is the kinda of modding we were limited to back in 2008 or so, but went out of style after obj2area made completely new maps possible, and completely disappear with the 2011 release of Sharp Ocarina which made new maps very easy to make.

*EDITED*

It could be they are going to revive this project and add to it with the new tools, or are just showing it off as an old school Zelda Hack.  I mean, even "Zelda's Birthday" which was the first "complete" and well received Zelda OOT mod looks pretty shabby by todays possibilities.

Give him time, it only takes a little practice to go from a novice modder to becoming one the "greats".

So welcome, and ask as many questions as you like.  Most of us are friendly.  We'll be glad to help.

Whoa hey now. What are you saying by replying with this picture? I remember seeing this exact picture years ago (Don't know if it's when Zeth ported the mask first or when I did) and I don't think it's yours. We're talking years here.

This isn't the first time I posted the picture..

I didn't really post much in Maco, I went there after dropping this project to help Flotonic out with his project long ago.  I found the old files for that as well, which it's little things scattered across different roms and a mess, not worth sharing unless I decide to do something more with it.

A Link to Majora's Mask was one of my more advanced projects (lacks new feature where it's at though).

Decided to take an alternate route with my late deceased project Roxanna. (Not to be confused with my Alice project that was just a knock off of pretty much every game out there.)

I decided to work the detail of Roxanna first, which only got finished by like 2% when I was pretty much forced into dropping the project by the community.

It was difficult trying to create detail out of ebay listings, stock photo's and different furniture, lace, fabric.

The most completed area in that project would have to be the Temple of time at around 10%.

And for as large a scale as A Link to Majora's Mask was supposed to be, I'd say it's about 000.005% complete at the moment. So the question is..

Whether or not anyone wants me to pick it back up again, I don't want to restart it to be forced to shut it down 2 months later.

THE Alice project?  The one where Link was reimagined as a woman?

No, that was Alice. Not Link reimagined as a woman.

So this is just re-texturing? If you can learn to import custom models, you'd be better off.

Also, curious why the screenshots are such a... mess? Trying to be light about this, but I can't take the screenshots seriously.

No, it is not just retexturing. The waist was slimmed down and the collar was removed in Roxanna. But unfortunately for Roxanna I was forced to cancel it before I was able to fix some of the texturing and lighting, as well as narrow out the temple, and add some gothic architecture.

As far as the screenshots for A Link to Majora's Mask being so out of place to one another was done purposefully. It leaves the people more surprised when they see the project as a whole. Which also why I only showed off a couple of the general areas in the trailer.

It's still Link's model, so out of context it looks like Link is a...

Is that cleavage on the second pic?

Actually both of them have cleavage, just that I used a new texturing technique for a better result in Roxanna, plus removal of the collar helped a lot with the look I was going for.

The only female play as character file I still have in existence is the one being made coin side with A Link to Majora's Mask. Early on I had the idea of after obtaining the blade to conceal the light in A Link to Majora's Mask the story would jump to a female character. But I had still not decided if that was what I wanted to do and haven't done anything with it.

It's nothing compared to Roxanna, for it was the first time I had this concept..

The woman above had not yet been named for she was originally scraped from this project.
