Fiction
I am currently interested in art and was wondering if anyone one here could give me a few pointers. Drawing is obviously where i am staring and is something i am not so good at right now. I will be very thankful for all the information you can share with me. SanguinettiMods
Observe real-life objects. Depending on what you draw, it will be good to familiarize yourself with the actual structure of what you're drawing. From there, you can lightly sketch building blocks of how the actual object was built, and on top of those, add your final lines and values for a complete image. Tell-Tale Heart
Practice with very simple objects; draw them while watching them as best as you can. Also, occasionally try blind drawing, where you only look at the object, not the paper, while drawing. It may not look good, but it's a good exercise. zaneebaslave
I'm not really the best person to take advise from, considering I've never ever had any form of art schooling. But here's what I would recommend to start out: start with the eyes. The eyes are the gateway to the soul, after all. If you can't draw convincing eyes, things tend to look a bit lifeless.
