  1. I have a thing for Medli so... EDIT: Ok i mean...not *a thing* but I always thought she was particularly attractive
  2. Everything about this so far looks beautiful!! The logo is incredibly Zelda-like yet genuine and enthralling. I'm very eager to see more when it's prepared!
  3. Crossing species totally keeps it interesting But I say Malon. IMO there's nothing not to like
  4. I've had a few of them but sometimes it's a struggle to stay dreaming after you realize you are. A few weeks ago was my most recent one. My friend had somehow gotten her arm cut off so me and another person went to help her out but she was all casual and completely disregarded it. So I went to the bathroom to text my other friend that we probably should take her to the emergency room which was when I realized I was dreaming and then I grabbed onto the barriers of the urinal as if there was a wind pushing me out of my dream state and I was trying to hold on It's definitely something that you can practice and be able to perfect and maybe lucid dream at will. I've always wondered, what if I continuously repeated a really tough song on the piano or something in my dream so much so that I could play it/or at least play it somewhat accurately in real life? In dreams, I'm pretty sure, for example, the parts of your brain that are active while you're walking are also somewhat active while you're walking in a dream. So, if practice is simply repeating an action so that neurons in your brain wire a certain way (this I know for certain is true) so that it eventually becomes natural, in theory, practicing in a dream state should have some effect on that ability when you wake up.
  5. Here's a side by side stereoscopic image! Or an MPO for your 3DS viewing pleasure!

    Polygon editing in hex

    Thanks! I never used UoT

    Polygon editing in hex

Thanks, but it's the particular isolating that I'm having trouble with. I checked the wiki's software page and couldn't find one. Perhaps I overlooked it?
  8. I should have made this earlier but anyway here's my question. I'm want to edit a few polygons in Hyrule Field without having to export/import anything. I understand how to find the .zmap files within the ROM but I'm unsure on how to find the polygon data. I tried a few things out to no avail. Thanks in advance.
  9. There are a few polygons in Hyrule Field that I'd like to delete without having to export the whole map and add everything in all over again (but I will if I have to). Is there a reasonable way to do this in a hex editor?
  10. How do you make your textures fade out for an exit like this? And how do you make water have a current so that when Link is in it it pushes him in the direction it's going? Thanks in advance.

    Some Zelda Music

I'm making this thread for anyone to post any remixes they made of LoZ music. I made a few myself so here are mine: http://soundcloud.co...e-song-of-money This is a mash-up of the Song of Storms and Pink Floyd's "Money" from The Dark Side of the Moon. There are some Majora's Mask Battle themes in it too. http://soundcloud.co...rms-8-bit-remix A crunchy 8-bit mix of the Song of Storms (obviously one of my faves ;D). http://soundcloud.co...-of-zelda-just/ Now this is something different and hopefully interesting to some of you. This project is remixing the six warp songs in OoT into a tuning system called Just Intonation. For those of you who do not know what that is, Just Intonation is a method of tuning that makes the ratios between notes/the harmonies simpler (in the standard tuning system everything ratio is irrational) so that the frequencies beat purer and create a more beautiful sound. If you don't buy it here's a comparison: http-~~-//a.tumblr.com/tumblr_m6uvj8nGRI1qe096po1.mp3 If you listen intently you can hear the restless waving in the first chord and how it settles or buzzes a bit in the second chord, and ditto with the minor one.
  12. Thanks. For the Sketchup method, is there a "one-click-fix" or would I have to do everything manually?
  13. Not that it would be very practical due to the style, I found a potential way to import Minecraft models into OoT. Mineways is a program that lets you select parts of your world and export them as objs or 3D printing files. Realizing objs are used in SharpOcarina, I really wanted import a Minecraft model into OoT. I followed JDYoungLink1's tutorial on importing WW maps to OoT except, obviously, using Mineways. I exported the obj with the following parameters turned ON: Export Sold Material Colors Center Model Merge Flat Blocks With Neighbors (doesn't do what I expected it to) Scale doesn't really matter Connect parts sharing and edge, Connect Corner tips, Weld all shared edges Hollow out bottom, Super hollow. I basically hoped that it would merge all the same block types into big polygons rather than exporting every single block as a polygon (if that's the right terminology...). It didn't. When I went through Sketchup, 3DSMAX, and finally injected it into the ROM, the map wouldn't load assumedly because if its very high poly/face/edge count. I spent quite a while trying to figure out how I can somehow merge all the faces that are on the same plane together in both Sketchup and 3DSMAX but I was unsuccessful. Anyone think there's a practical way to reduce the size to make this work?

    Hey!

Hi everyone! I joined a couple months ago but I'm only now starting to come here regularly. So, I just wanted to introduce myself as a musician who enjoys casual video gaming on the side, specifically LoZ, who has a keen interested in computers but a limited knowledge of programming. When it comes to Zelda hacking, the only thing I know really well is text editing and actor moving and changing in OoT. I do these for humorous reasons and make gifs for my tumblr blog. However I am very interested in improving my skills yet that's a slow process so far xP So if you see me around I'll probably be asking questions, but I'll try to figure out am much as I could on my own or through other people's questions before I ask my own! This looks like an excellent community and I hope to be able to contribute something someday!
