  1. As said in the title, this is a re post of a thread I made in thw zelda universe forums mostly because this site may have tabletop role players considering it history To prevent any distraction from the Main topic of this thread, I spoiler tagged my entire review of the Starter set for the 4th edition of ruleset. I want to know your recommended Edition for Dungeon & dragon rather it the Original book(1974), any of the Advance Dungeon & dragon books(1977-1995) just for the sake of capturing the old school feel that many people grew up with or anything post 3rd edition.

  3. Okay you just finish chrono trigger for the first and though that it would be a great idea to create a rpg along the lines of chrono trigger. So here my tips for making a good rpg. Tip #1: Make sure that game has good pacing. good pacing is important because the player start to get board because of the long fighting animations that last 20 second , convoluted story that hard as f*ck to understand, long cutscenes that last 40 minutes, dull and mundane turned base system. Make the story easy to understand, A paced battle system, simplistic fighting animation, A good gameplay-cutscene ratio, sidequest and exploration if the player get board of the story. Tip #2: don't over complicate the story. the problem with jrpg after the psx era is that the stories started to become convoluted, they are filled with deus ex machina, long cut scenes poorly develop characters and anime cliches. Try going for a simplistic story that easy to understand and well written. if the player understand the plot well then it easier to relate with the characters and short cutscene is a good thing because it give more control to the player. Tip #3: the battle system need to be well paced. This is important because if you want the player to enjoy the game storywise and gameplay wise you must make sure that the battle system is well pace or else the player is gonna get board if the battle system is muudane and dull because of the long fight animation, that it turn based and tedious levelling system, That all folks
  4. And to a extent there much better shooters then cod. Take valve fps for example. Or Halo depend if you like a good sci fi story in fps.
  5. Well I personally recommend visiting these fansite. I recommend Zelda Dungeon if you want good walkthroughs. Zelda universe has a large Userbase in it forums, I recommended it if you want a good place for discussion. Zelda informer has a mix of nintendo and zelda news. So yeah search them up. I Have plans of becoming a game designer(as directer/producer) in the future. And I'm Fourteen years old Don't judge me stereotypical , I'm not that much of a First person shooter fag.
