  1. So LuigiBlood (he has dumped N64DD Roms and implemented support for the N64DD in Project64) was able to make the game read custom data from a fabricated disk rom. Has anyone been able to this in the past? I remember a post from @Zeth Ryder in which he bruteforced the game to start without a disk attached and some funny stuff happened, but dunno if he was able to add new text through this mechanic
  2. This is turning out to be a mod of truly epic proportions! Can't wait to play it!
  3. Honestly, looks like this is going to be the most interesting SMW Mod ever.
  4. My guitar is in my mind! Leave it to LAMMY!

  5. Were you able to get in contact with a new ASM programmer/coder?
  6. For those who haven't seen it: Gonetz is going to implement shaders! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/gliden64-graphics-plugin#activity The campaign, as of now, has been 79% funded with only 10 days remaining. Please donate some spare change you might have, and share with people you know that might be interested. Come on! We're very close to the goal. Only $1224 USD to go. We can't let go this opportunity! We don't know when we might have another chance like this, or even if we'll have another one...
  7. Glide64 uses the Glide3X GFX API and translates the calls through an OpenGL wrapper. Btw, on a related note, I found this. Wouldn't this results be achievable by using tessellation?
  8. Well... he said he has a famaly to take care of and recently he lost his job. He could get another job right now but he is taking advantage of his unemployement time to work on this project as his full-time job. I guess he needs the money to pay the bills Also this project isn't new. He had a blog here since 2013 where he has been writing all the technical details during the development of his plugin. I recommend you to check it out. MarathonMan is doing an excellent job and for free, no doubt. But the project updates at slow pace, and he has admitted he has very little time to spend on CEN64 due to his RL job. Just as Gonetz before he lost his job. Also if for some reason the funding was unsuccessful Gonetz said he would still work on the project but he "does not know when [he] would have time to work on it." So... we could have a fully working plugin in three months donating a few bucks and call it a day or in two/three/four years but for free. I'll take the former.
  9. Gonetz (co-creator of Glide64) just launched an Indiegogo campaign to finish his new plugin, GLideN64. Sergey "Gonetz" Lipskiy is working on a next generation graphics plugin for Nintendo 64 emulators and is currently targetting Windows, Linux and Android. It will bring more accurate frame buffer and depth buffer emulation and many other features currently not supported by existing graphics plugins. He hopes to be able to work fulltime on the project with the help of an Indiegogo campaign. His goal is to make the best HLE graphics plugin, highly accurate, fixing many of the issues that plagued other plugins, including his Glide64, and he wants this information spread as much as possible, as he now has a crowdfunding set up: Many games like Majora's Mask (Lens of Truth), Perfect Dark (CamSpy), to name a few, but the biggest glitches that have plagued N64 emulation will at long last be fixed, if the funding goal is met. He also has stretch goals for completing the Android port, porting to OS X, widescreen hack support, advanced AA, rendering in native res, and other stuff. 10. This is shaping up to be one of the best SMW mods ever!
  11. A native x86 executable of the Pikmin game? lolwut How does it run? Is it any different of the Gamecube version? Is there more info about this?
  12. xdaniel, not sure if this is of any help for your project but there is a N64 Video Plugin that is 100% pixel accurate; it even simulates the N64 DAC VI filters like divot filtering, antialasing, gamma correction, reverse dithering... etc. The source code is here.
  13. Well that was an interesting seventeen minutes.
  14. Lookin' good Really looking forward to this!! Keep up the good stuff
