  1. You can still access HULU with a proxy, premiumize.me is working great for me. You will also get acces to some OCH and the GEMA won't annoy you on Youtube anymore.
  2. To be honest, it was the best idea, they had. Nobody needed another 3D cutie platformer in this time, because there were already plenty of them on N64 and PSX. And it was a great game, that evolved from twelve tales. You can still identify some parts of the world of 12 Tales in Conkers Bad Fur Day.
  3. Still here. So I decided to bring this thread up.
  4. It's all old Stuff, which hasn't been touched for years, but I found it some hours ago and thought probably someone would be interested in adding it to the wiki, add it to his personal Zelda collection or do whatever he likes. I just decided, that it's better to share it with the community, than to hoard it forever. Some stuff is probably wrong, other already added to the wiki and some (of my) stuff has afair never been released. So have fun with it: Download
  5. I would love to see a beta, too. But the hope is nearly 0 for me. The only known beta cartridge copy of Conker was on an dev cartridge and all of its content came from a PC. And afaik it was pretty common for RARE to test all their stuff this way. So chances are really low to see a RARE N64 beta at all.
  6. The Jet Force Beta has the old models of the main characters and the PD beta some changed sounds/voices, but yeah, you are right, they aren't that much different than the released final versions and so not that much interesting. BTW: the screenshots aren't from a ROM. They are released silicon graphic pre rendered stuff for advertisement purpose. You can find them also printed in some older N64 magazines, so I think RARE Minion only got some press kits, like the leaked ones of acclaim, which got released a year ago by assembler forum. The bad video quality for example really does look like a VHS rip and that could also be the reason the source isn't clearly. It wouldn't be surprised at all if a Diddy Kong Racing beta video would arrive in near future, which shows the old world map.
  7. If you don't know yet, RARE Minion also released a video of the Perfect Dark Beta: and a Jet Force Gemini one:
  8. Tell the author, not just me. If this project gets into his 2.0 phase, than you can help with nearly everything. You know how many editors (and engines) have its flaws because of some old and bad design decisions. You could test the editor and tell a coder, how a "normal" user would like it. Sometimes we coders have problems in seeing the normal easy to use control sheme, because we think to complicated. That's the place you could jump in. So spread the word!
  9. Probably you already checked my signature, probably you don't. But I really think, a community like this site is a proper place to create a thread about it and advertise a project like glZelda(2) and I hope to get enough responses to show the project leader that a project like this is really appreciated. But let me start from the beginning: Most of you probably already know Zelda Classic, if not, you should really check it out, because it's a duty for every Retro, SNES and Zelda Fan to play it at least once. It's an engine recreation, to play and recreate the complete feeling and gameplay of the The Legend of Zelda NES game without an emulator on your PC and enhance it with new quests or items. Today it's an awesome editor with plenty of possibilities. You can create a completely new game and work with the original NES Sprites, but it also supports ALttP and the BS-X (and more!) sprites. But deep inside its core is still kinda old school, without enhanced gfx capabilities and features. More than 5 years ago a French coder Benjamin Arnaud created glZelda to show an engine with editor which was build with up-to-date technique and other fine features and it really was and still is stunning. Download the complete video here (with additional editor part, had to cut it down because of the 10 minutes limit) And I really mean stunning, because if you think about, that all this had been done 5 years ago, than it's just too nice ending up as a mere tech-demo. As time goes by, the author already thought about a revive of the project and posted the following comment at his blog: Online features!! Yeah, but till the end of 2009 it was quietly and the project was dead before it really started. But 11/30/2009 the author came back and created a thread in the Zelda Classics board: Sadly, the project got nearly ignored and only a few answered. So I decided to write him via email, here's the conversation log for you: Now you can see, there's still legitimate interest by the creator of glZelda, but he really want to see, that there is a community which is interested and would show support for him and his tool.So after I got the mail I started posting the video to Youtube and information/advertisement posts at 8 different websites, but after that I had some real life issues, so I than disappeared from glZelda advertisment. But I already made an impact! He showed reaction at his new site (or should I say 3 reactions? You could also count Support & Suggestion and the Contribution thread at his board). Before the disappearance I was preparing a big promotion campaign with two additional videos in 2 scenarios never seen before (with appropriate enemies as well) in glZelda (Dark World is one, but the 2nd stays a secret till release) created with the old glZelda engine to show its potential, but because of these serious real life issues I hadn't time to finish it yet and that's a real shame! Scenario 1 has finished music, font, nearly all sprites done, sketches, ideas and an alpha but is missing still a lot mapping and I didn't even started with scenario 2, but already created sketches and support files. If anybody knows a good spriter and/or mapper it would help me a lot to just get the advertisement train finally rolling! But even without them, I decided to restart the effort and thought this site needs a glZelda2 topic aswell! If you are interested in this project and would like to see a Zelda 3 Classic engine with modern gfx support, write an email to bunjeee@gmail.com, reply here or at his site and tell your friends about this project! He/we will still need you as a community! Talk about it on Facebook, Youtube or Twitter and help me to advertise this great project! But most important: show support and help making glZelda a reality! Thanks for reading MasterPhW
  10. You really forget to tell me about the most important thing: your graphic card! Also it's important to update the plugin, like I already told you...
  11. Probably you should update to the most up to date version of the plugin, which is happen to be 1964video. Also would it be great to post additional details of your rig, like gfx card and driver version.
  12. This video isn't available in your country. Youtube sucks... >.< Btw: Katy Perry is a damn fine woman.
  13. Will test it tomorrow, main point of interest will be: games, which are hard to emulate, like Metroid DX (colored hack of Metroid) and some mainstream games.
  14. It seems, that I'm one of those lucky bastards. logfile_0.txt is empty. I normally should have installed all needed libs, like .net 4, but sadly it didn't works here. My rig is in my sig. I just pops up for a few miliseconds than closes itself.
  15. We really need spoiler tags here. But thanks for the editing Naxy! A game with all these chars would be plain amazing. Can't wait for the first HD (post Wii) Zelda game.
  16. Here's the high res version on my webspace: http://causethemastersaidso.de/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/zelda_25th_anniversary.jpg
  17. Emutalk is down atm, so I can't post a news at Emulation64.com about it (but Wraggster usually "steals" all the news I post at AEP, so if ET&emu64 are back and I wait to long, it will be posted there without doubts), but I already reported at AEP-emu and emuxhaven and will test it after sleeping and after I found some time tomorrow/today. Thanks for the release.
  18. Looking great xdaniel! Waiting for the first release and you can expect some beta results as a response for your hard work.
  19. I don't care if you lurked and I also don't care about your post count. I just saw your reputation and wondered why it was -1... I changed it. It's great to see some users, that know me. Hope I will be an great addition to this community...
  20. What does the (maybe my last topic) in the headline mean? To less response here for you to continue? Or bad response? Or what's wrong?
  21. DRM mostly will conflict in playing the game, not in installing it. Most of the time, a no-cd cracked exe will work, because it mostly removed nearly all restrictions to the system. I don't support piracy, neither do I support using copyright preotected material in general, but I always suggest in trying a cracked exe if a legally owned game really don't let you play the game. But offtopic! Your installer won't start, so it's most probably not a DRM problem. Is there a *.msi file? They're often searching for a specific OS and so they don't support X64 sometimes. But it's fixable with orca, the MS *.msi editor. It could also be, that you just need to run the setup.exe (or how it's supposed to be called) in compatibility mode (right click->properties->compatibility mode->WinXP SP3) or in a virtual machine (will explain later, if nothing works!).
  22. Sorry for being critical and giving you only a *Tch*, because I'm thinking the textures still missing something to really fit the beta feel.
  23. It's great to see you're still the enthusiastic coder and hacker you were years ago. Looking forward to your first public beta release and will post about it on (nearly?) all known and important emulation sites. And remember: GEST is still out there, which is one of the best, if not the best GB/C emulator available and open source. But keep on mind: accuracy is the key to success. But keep in mind, that GBEmu already was used for a GB emulator for the PSP in 2005, so you should probably change its name to prevent confusion.
  24. I know, it was meant to look beta-ish, but Imho it's still something missing. Dunno what's so wrong about, it kinda looks like the old shield of the A+B beta screens, but it feels incomplete... Sorry!
  25. No image is showing up here at all. But I checked the google page. Looking good. Your site is generally interesting.
