Shadow pondered for a moment, before glancing behind him. Noticing a steep incline, he raced to the top, before turning back around and staring downward. Taking a deep breath, he suddenly shot down the hill, skating as fast as he could to the bridge. With precise timing, he leapt into the air, before landing safely on the other side. I am the ultimate lifeform...

Looking at Evan, the dirty male said nothing, before removing himself from Evan's grip and walking off silently. I'll go with you... Jake...

Link's expression softened, a guilty look replacing his once angered look. Lowering his glance to the ground, he turned away. "Beth..." he muttered. "I'm... sorry I was so hard on you. But understand... Diggs... is special to me. He's more than just my best friend. He's... my soul mate."
-
Link shook his head again, as they went back down to Kakariko Village. "Don't apologise..." he murmured. "You did nothing wrong." Back in the village, Link's eyes narrowed again as he saw the children, still standing around. He didn't look at Colin with his icy stare. After all, the kid idolised him, and was even supportive. Bringing Diggs over, he scowled at Beth. "Well?" he growled out. "I believe you have something to say?"

Shadow made it to the bridge leading to the Chao Garden Portals, hissing as he had to come to a stop. "Damn it..." he hissed. "The bridge is out. Great. Just my luck... no Chaos Emerald. What the hell am I going to do now?"
-
Link just shook his head, placing a hand in the older boy's hair. "I don't know all the details..." he said softly. "But I know this. You would never do anything to bring harm to those children. Just because you can talk to them, doesn't make you bad." Gently giving a soft pat to his love's head, he gently nuzzled the other boy. "C'mon..." he continued. "Let's go back. I'm sure they'll understand... and if not, I'll make them."
-
Link had found Diggs, moving up behind him. Kneeling down, he wrapped his arms around the other from behind. "No..." he said firmly. "You're not. She was out of line. I won't stand there and let her insult you like that. I don't care if she hates me for it, but I'll make her apologise." Pulling the other boy closer to him, the blond pressed a gentle kiss to Diggs' neck.
-
Link lowered his glance to the ground, his teeth clenching tightly. His breathing becoming noticably ragged, he began shaking. "I'm going to find him and bring him back..." he snarled, before looking up, and staring at Beth, Talo and Malo, eyes filled with rage. "...and you are going to apologise... Diggs would never betray you... he risked his life to try and help you... and you thank him like this? Disgusting." Eyes narrowed even more, he gave a determined growl and raced off after Diggs, leaving the kids behind in shock.

Second of HeartsThis is an old roleplay that Jia Long and I did back at RP Mania. It stars Shadow the Hedgehog, who is romantically paired with a strange creature known as Sheko. Who is Sheko? Well, we'll find that out very soon. Oh, and there's also some Sonic x Tails pairing... and we may see other pairings as the roleplay continues. So, without any further ado... here is Second of Hearts. The ultimate lifeform stared out over the ruined city of Westopolis, eyes panning across the damage. It had been about a month since Black Doom had first shown his face, and three days since his defeat. "These humans..." he said softly. "...I protected them... because that's what Maria wished for... I can't believe I nearly fell for Black Doom's tricks. I could have destroyed... Sheko..." A slight smile came across his lips as he instantly thought of the one whose name he had spoken. Turning around, he began to race towards his new destination. I hope the Chao Gardens have been spared...

Link narrowed his eyes at Beth, before casting a worried glance back to Diggs. Without facing the girl, he spoke up. "And what..." he growled out. "...was that about, Beth?"
-
Link clung back, his face buried in the other boy's neck, suddenly glancing over as he heard voices. The kids had rushed outside. "You're..." he said softly. "...all here..."
-
Link slowly stood, his eyes closed as he felt a strange energy come over him. Before he knew it, his burns were starting to heal at an astonishing rate. Keeping his eyes closed, he was able to hear the spirits of the planet chant their soothing words of healing to him. A few moments later, he was perfectly healed. "The springs..." he mumbled. "They have magical properties... healing powers."
-
Link was back in human form although his burns were still on his body. Slowly, he felt his strength return to him as the light spirit began to reform.
-
Vallwida smiled slightly, before returning his attention to the injured Guys. Belbet gave an inaudible sigh, before slinking away back to his cell.
-
Link was healed up enough to be able to limp towards wherever he needed to go, and while his legs weren't in too much pain, nothing could really be done about the burns. Giving a whimper, he slowly began to head back to the spirit's spring. Diggs... I hope you're not hurt...
-
As he arrived, Belbet glanced cautiously into the ward. Guys, hearing a noise, looked back, his eyes locking onto Belbet's. Freezing for a moment, he gave a sad smile. "I know..." he said softly. "You came to apologise. It isn't necessary. It was Durer's fault." Belbet remained silent for a few moments, before shaking his head.
-
Back inside the burning house, Link was panicked. Giving loud screams of terror, he searched for a way out. Finally, he'd found the hole he'd dug in under, managing to dig out, just in time as the entire house exploded, taking the bugs with it. Unfortunately, Link was quite close to the blast, and was propelled several meters, landing on the ground roughly, with a loud yelp. Not like this... it can't be... like this... Slowly, the wolf stood, but found he couldn't walk properly. Massive burns covered his entire left side, and he was pretty sure he'd broken a few bones. "I've become useless..."
-
Belbet stopped momentarily, before nodding. "I was already going..." he muttered. "I need to see that he's okay... and to apologise to him for betraying him."
-
While Diggs was gone, Link ran around the village in search for more bugs. He managed to destroy a fair few, watching as the light vanished, instantly transported into the vessel which Diggs had taken with him. Link finally made it to a house on top of the hill. Watching as three insects burrowed inside, he raced for the house, and dug in himself. A strange smell filled his nostrils as he went inside. A stick was on fire nearby, and upon noticing the insects hiding in the fireplace, he picked the stick up in his teeth, and set the fireplace alight. Unfortunately, the bugs were also set alight, and raced out in panic, causing a lot of explosions within the house. Bomb powder?! The house was quickly set on fire.
-
Link also saw the look in his eyes, ears drooping, before nodding. "If that's what you think is best. I'll search around the village."
-
Back outside, Link wandered around town, shivering at the eerie creatures that were around. "This is horrible..."
-
Guys slowly awoke, giving a soft groan. Looking up and seeing Shion and Vallewida patching him up, he gave a soft whimper. Why me? Why am I always the one to undergo this torment? Back at roll-call, Belbet glanced around, before slowly skulking off.
-
Link walked over to the other, affectionately nuzzling him. "I promise things will get better."
-
The blond gave a slight smile, before they arrived at the courtyard. Guys was absent, but it soon became known that he was in the doctor's ward. I hope he's okay...
-
Link growled impatiently up at Midna, before dropping down to follow Diggs.
