- Appearance:

:: An average-looking teen, preferring to wear black board shorts, complete with black and white skate shoes. He prefers to never wear a shirt, showing off his toned body. However, this isn't due to conceit, but rather a habit, due to his living environment. He's often seen carrying a backpack over one shoulder. With deep green eyes that are always full of curiosity, he's one attractive panda.

 

- Personality:

:: Very easy-going. He loves adventure, and is full of a vast curiosity towards all things that are new to him. A caring guy, he'll be one of the first to lend a hand should someone need help.

 

- Past:

:: Born under intense conditions. Born prematurely, and in a harsh mountainous region, it wasn't expected he or his mother would survive, but thanks to the quick thinking of his father, he and his mother managed to beat the odds and survive. Unfortunately, his father would not be so lucky, as an accident which occurred in the following weeks impaired him with permanent amnesia.

 

When he was 4 years old, his mother, Chen-chi, contracted a strange illness. His caring nature took over, and he nursed his mother back to health. It was later discovered that Chen-chi was actually bearing twins. She later gave birth to a boy and girl, Hao-cun and Yan-yan respectively. Instantly smitten with his new brother and sister, Zhao-kai vowed to take care of them.

 

Eleven years later, on the night of his 15th birthday, he had a dream of a strange and wonderful land. Telling his mother the next day, she immediately understood what he wanted to do. Explaining that he wanted to search for this new land, he bade farewell to his family, before setting off for a great adventure.

- Abilities:

:: Zhao-kai sometimes has prophetic visions in his dreams, which lead him to new places, or to meeting new people.

:: The source of the prophetic dreams is unknown.

 

- Goals:

:: To find the wonderful land as shown to him in his dream, and bring his family.

 

- Strengths:

:: Zhao-kai has an amazing amount of stamina, combined with an iron-strong will that cannot easily be broken. If he puts his mind to something, he will see it through to the end.

 

- Weaknesses:

:: Compassion can sometimes get the better of him, considering his naivety. His curiosity has gotten him into trouble on a couple of occasions, and he is also easy to upset. His understanding of English can be a little lacking at times, presenting a slight language barrier.

 

---= Roleplay Example =---

 

- Example:

:: It was a bright, sunny day in the country. Birds chirped peacefully around the field as the panda continued to walk, in search of the mysterious land of his dreams. Suddenly stopping, he moved his backpack into his hands, reaching inside to pull out a snack.

 

'Sure glad I fill plenty before leaving... or very hungry then...'

 

Bringing out a few cookies, the panda glanced up at the sky, giving a soft sigh. It had been several weeks since he had left his home, and he still hadn't found his destination. He had actually been enjoying the adventure, but he was starting to feel very homesick.

 

"Doing this for family..." he mumbled to himself. "...and Zhao-kai..."

 

Munching on a cookie, he suddenly blinked as a bird flew onto his shoulder. It noticed the cookies that Zhao-kai was holding, and was hoping for a little feed for itself. Giving a smile, the panda placed his bag down on the ground, before reaching up to his shoulder, letting the bird hop onto his hand. With his other hand, the panda crushed the cookie, before holding it out. The bird gave a little whistle of glee, before flitting onto the crumb-filled hand.

 

"Hungry?" Zhao-kai chuckled. "You are funny little bird. Eat much as you want."

 

The bird did so, and before long, it decided it had eaten its fill. With another happy whistle of thanks, it flew away, leaving the panda staring after it, a slight smile of curiosity on his face.

 

"Time for leaving..." he said suddenly, reaching down for his backpack. "Got long journey."

 

With those words, Zhao-kai continued on his long and arduous journey to the land of the unknown.
