  1. Hey guys! I'm planning on going into game audio design and I'm looking for some games to study. I'd appreciate some recommendations!

On a side note, are there any video game websites that offer an advanced search that includes searching by critics' or users' ratings on a certain aspect of a game? If I'm not mistaken, IGN used to have a rating system where a user's rating was based on an average of ratings on specific aspects and it would have been great if you could search by those criteria.

  2. Whenever I click on a link in the "Recently Discussed Topics" box, I am automatically taken to the last post instead of the last post I had read like it was previously. (Is this the right place to report stuff like that?)

  3. My recent additions have been Billy Joel's "The Stranger" and They Might Be Giant's "The Else/Cast Your Pod To The Wind". Waiting for the new Los Campesino's album to come out cause I preordered that too ^-^

I made this last night (procrastinating bed time) just because I hadn't used Google Sketchup in about a year lol

there are some texture errors though...

Also it wasn't until after I made it I realized it looks a lot like the Boss Stalfos room :P

That is really amazing for something done in Google Sketchup. I prefer the tidyness of blender as I have tried Sketchup before, and I guess it depends on how you find it?

I am uncomfortable with the controls in Google Sketchup, so perhaps I missed something when using it.

No matter though, Blender converts obj files pretty decently. Imperfect, but I re-convert the file to be used in xdan's Model2N64.

I really like the style this is in... was this part of the Gerudo Fortress's rooms?

That's really interesting that you say that because I, for the life of me, can't figure out blender.  Granted, I haven't read or watched any tutorials on it....which I have been meaning to do...but SketchUp is really weird at first but after getting used to it, it's not so bad in my opinion.  I can't imagine trying to make something like those hands in bobbo's map though...

  5. 19. No. 10: The Great Gate of Kiev

I work for Recording Services at Ithaca College and the Wind Ensemble I just recorded played Pictures At An Exhibition, so that's from making the CD Label :P

  6. It's really crazy all the different problems people are having.  I'm using an ASUS laptop with an i5 processor an a shitty integrated graphics card, but I have it running beautifully on PJ64 and I have not crashed once, even in the former Lots o Pots room.

  7. While configuring the C buttons with the N-Rage controller plugin I accidentally switched the language to German...I've used the debug rom before but couldn't remember how to switch it back.

Also, to get rid of that delay when you press start, use this GS code:

    8022414B 0002

Someone on these forums posted that a while ago...I don't remember who it was but I have a feeling it was DeathBasket for some reason.

  8. I think you should take down the patched ROM on Mediafire, fix the CRC yourself, and then reupload it.  I understand your internet issue and that sucks but I feel like as the developer of the hack it's your responsibility to have an issue-less patched ROM if you decide to provide one.  The CRC fix is really important as it works on PJ64 for me now and probably most everything else!

Other than that, I'm so excited to be able to sit down and play through it!

  9. Anyone try 1964 yet? I haven't gotten any loop errors but I can't get the game to render.  It's probably something to do with the ROM settings.  I've tried copying over what I could based on the PJ64 ones but 1964 uses some different terminology and I'm pretty much using a guess, test, and revise method now.
