I can see this engine do alot of wonderful things since its 100% moddable. I would love to do a PC version of ALttP first then another game that takes advantage of the sakura engine. Sounds good?

If widescreen is possible then the second game idea would work great.

Will the sprites be png files? that way they are crisp, clear and easy to edit. With this engine I have two games in mind.

Oh yeah will we be able to add new items?

If it has Four Swords elements in it, like the Roc's Cape and stuff, then it'll be the ultimate engine ever.

Are you gonna make a video of Link's basic gameplay such as movement? I am really interested to see it compared to the SNES game.

That's good progress.  I like watching games in the making but it's really cool to see stuff like this.

What's a good framerate cap for ALTTP?

Wow you are working hard on it. I never seen someone make good progress like this for a long time. Could it be?

O hay guys I designed the co-op.

At any time during the game a 2nd player can hit start on the joypad to help the 1st player on his adventure at any time. It's drop-in/drop-out co-op!

The 2nd player can quit at anytime by hitting select and you get these two options.

For added challenge and true co-op gameplay you share your hearts, magic, money and ammo However you can use your own items. You must survive together! (You can pick the same item too.)

Here are some concept screenshots I made with ms paint to show what the gameplay would look like. Ok so it's not real in game but the engine can pull it off. I felt bad for HoL so he is Link's sidekick. (at least he is doing something... right?)

This is based off local play. Network will be in too so you won't be lonely and stuff. Antidote is awesome for planning to add it!

That's a good idea. I am so happy you are doing this. If there is one thing I wanna do in life before I die is to play ALTTP with 2 player co-op.

So when this is done I assume it will be easy to use? I played alot of Zelda engines that are ALTTP based and they were too hard to use.

Good thing I gave you my co-op concept. ALTTP co-op would be the best thing ever.

I like ALTTP style. I am curious if it's possible to have any sort of co-op. Would be rad to have an engine to include it.

Ya know something. Ever since my 360 wireless headset and controller works on my PC. It made my 360 pointless.

k then. Have fun missing out on the greatness that is the PS4 and Wii U. You know, the consoles of this generation that do not do all of the bullshit the Xbone does.

 

Also, calling it Xbone from now on. Or Xdone. Either one works, as they boned themselves so good, they're done with consoles.

I can find alot of greatness with PC. I can't tell people what to choose. But for me my gaming habits has died down a bit. PC has emulators and steam. So I am fine with that. I will say Wii U is more of a proper game console then PS4 or One. At least you can play your old Wii games. So basically PS3 and 360 owners are screwed.

I do agree that MS really screwed up the Xbox brand because the Windows team replaced the old Xbox team. Hence why the road was different with Xbox One. A bunch of dumb suits with mba's who is book smart but yet is out of touch with reality.
