  1. I vote for episodic. It means that the game retains the exact mechanics and control of the original game, and it's not a big issue if it's split into parts for me personally, in fact it's probably better, because everyone gets to see some of the game earlier than before.

However, if you can make a GameMaker game that feels like the original and think you can pull it off, then by all means go ahead :D

  2. Well I was looking forward to seeing what Windows 10 was like. Not anymore. Damnit Microsoft, stop making me hate you in every single way. Thankfully I'm on a custom-built so it wouldn't be an issue, but I won't upgrade to Win10 out of principle. If Linux had more compatibility (Particularly with Steam games) I'd be on there in a heartbeat. As it stands, I rarely go on my dual boot of linux.

Can you imagine their reaction if no-one were to upgrade when it is a free upgrade? Priceless.

  3. I just had a little go, seems pretty good so far! I won't be able to play much anytime soon, but when I do I'll let you know if anything comes up.

Only thing I noticed during my session was that the text for the kokiri sword chest changes tense at the end. Not a big deal, but it's the small details right?   ^_^

  4. Looking forward to seeing this! I beat Majora 3ds recently and was kinda disappointed they didn't add a Master Quest. Still loved it though.

Just because I'm curious, will enemies be dealing double damage like in OoT Master Quest?

  5. I feel like part of the issue was that Ura was considered just your project Takuhi, and not the teams, which meant there was a lot more pressure and focus on you. That in conjunction with the huge publicity the project got would have been pretty stressful. It also means that most of the fans would look at you if something went wrong.

I can understand why you would be pissed about the hate, but whatever actually happened with Ura, whoever was in the wrong or made mistakes, it's in the past and doesn't matter. This is a new project which just so happens to use assets and ideas from Ura and I hope people treat it as such. :)

Last thing, I hope that everythings a little more transparent with this project, personally I'd prefer updates with no progress than being left in the dark.

  6. Heheh, it would have cropped up some time or another ^.^

And that's pretty cool, nice to see that it will be under a new name and can be treated as its own new thing, and I hope it goes well! I'm guessing the target is gonna be a little more reachable this time around then?

Either way, good luck, it's always great to see new projects!  :D

  7. I'm gonna go ahead and be that guy.Takuhi, you mentioned there will not be a pack last year. Would it be alright if we could have a reason for that? My guess would be that you guys are too busy, or you can't find the parts anymore. Whatever the answer, I'm happy to accept it, but it would be really interesting to see the work that the team lovingly put in!

No hard feelings, and sorry for bringing this up if it's an issue.

Also just wanna add that all the Ura music has always been great, and all the composers did a great job of getting the feel of a zelda game and creating something new! :D

At least I got a few games from the Steam Sale a few days ago:

    • Slpinter Cell
    • Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
    • Five Nights at Freddy's 2 ('cause it's more interesting than the first one)
    • Goat Simulator (yes... Goat Simulator...)

I also wanted to buy Half Life 2: Episode 1 and 2, but I forgot about buying them >.>. Don't ask how I could forget to buy 2 amazing games, I just did :(

I'm sure they'll be in the upcoming winter sale :D

I recently got LittleBigPlanet 3! So far it lives up to it's predecessors, but I can't work out why people are complaining about the bugs when LBP2 was one of the buggiest games I've ever played. In fact I've had less issues than I had at launch with 2!

Just a shame it doesn't perform too well on the PS3! Story levels are fine but some of the community levels can drop frames quite a bit.

  9. The real issue is that people don't seem to understand that this is a open source thing.

Unless people actually help out and contribute, this project will die for sure. This is being made by the community, for the community.

It was made open source so that others could carry on with it and work on it, even when people like SoD isn't actively working on it anymore.

A lot of people seem to be very interested in the project, and really want it to succeed, but almost none has gone as far as to actually try to contribute, even though they probably are capable of it, which I find a bit sad.

I myself had no experience at all with unity before this. Better doing a little than nothing at all. Doesn't hurt to at least try.

I never did finish the dialog system I was working on, and due to other things taking priority, I most likely wont finish it, at least not in the foreseeable future. I'll put it up as-is within the next few weeks though, so that someone else can pick it up and work on it.

Ah I forgot it was open-source, well I feel silly now.

I wish I could contribute, but I'm currently learning the basics of C#, and know nothing about Unity. When I know enough I'll see how I can help.
